The IDIAPJGol, together with the Association of Family and Community Nursing of Catalonia, offers this new course with the aim of knowing the theoretical and methodological bases of qualitative research and the main areas of application of qualitative research in health.
IDIAPJGol offers this new course in online format with the aim of making known the different types of evaluations that exist, how to carry them out and which is the most appropriate for each context.
Researchers and researchers from IDIAP Jordi Gol, from Lleida Primary Care and from the University of Lleida (UdL) have recently published a study that determines that lung ultrasound is more accurate than chest radiography to diagnose pneumonia caused by COVID -19. The research, carried out with the participation of more than 200 patients from CAP Balaguer between March and September 2020, has been carried out with the collaboration of the La Noguera County Council. The study, entitled ‘Higher accuracy of lung ultrasound over chest X-ray for early diagnosis of Covid-19 pneumonia’, has been published in the high-impact journal International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.

For yet another year, the IDIAPJGol together with the ICS have delivered the research grants in Primary Care. On this occasion, a total of 24 professionals have been awarded in the six categories.
The General Directorate of Research and Innovation of the Department of Health, called a year ago with 4 million euros to finance research and innovation projects for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Only 19 were the selected projects, 2 of which are projects led by IDIAPJGol. These projects are the study on the immune response in health professionals infected with SARS-CoV-2 and the project to develop predictive models of complications.
