The IDIAPJGol manages the SIDIAP database, created in 2010 under the auspices of the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS) and the Foundation University Institute for Research in Primary Health Care Jordi Gol i Gurina (IDIAPJGol). Its main aims is to promote the development of research based on data from primary care electronic medical records and other complementary databases. SIDIAP's main objective is, therefore, to generate reliable research databases from the computerized medical records (as registered using the ECAP software), used in the Primary Health Care setting within the ICS.
Currently, the SIDIAP contains information from ECAP about 274 Primary Health Centers of Catalonia with an assigned population of 5.835.000 patients (80% of the Catalan population).
