Josep Vidal, appointed Full Professor at UVic-UCC

The coordinator of the Central Catalonia Research Support Unit coordinates the subject of Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya

 

 

The coordinator of the Central Catalonia Research Support Unit (USR) of the IDIAPJGol, Josep Vidal, has been appointed Full Professor of Medicine at the Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic - UCC), after passing the internal promotion process carried out by the institution. Doctor Vidal has been collaborating with UVic - UCC for six years, where he coordinates the subject of Family Medicine.

Josep Vidal is a telemedicine doctor and currently works as a family doctor at the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS). Within the USR Catalunya Central, where he works as a coordinator, he leads a clinical research team focused on research and innovation in health services, mainly aimed at improving the efficiency of primary care services. He is part of the Research Group for the Promotion of Health in the Rural Area (PROSAARU), where he leads the research line on new technologies and telemedicine. He is a member of EURIPA, the European Association of Rural Doctors, and the Assembly of the WONCA Working Group on Rural Practice (RuralWonca).
