The consolidation of the European Research Area (ERA) implies the development of a unified research territory open to the world, in which researchers, scientific knowledge and technology circulate freely. The ERA should attract the best scientists.

The EURAXESS - Researchers in Motion initiative was born within the ERA framework. EURAXESS delivers information and support services to professional researchers that want to develop their career in Europe and those that continue to maintain research links with Europe.

The Rights are one of the three pillars of EURAXESS. The Rights aim to improve the working conditions and contracts of researchers in Europe and to promote research as an attractive career. One of the cornerstones of EURAXESS Rights is the implementation of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
